Description
Description
ASTM A312 TP316Ti Seamless Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipes

ASTM A312 covers austenitic alloy Stainless Steel 316ti Pipe in both seamless and welded constructions. The use of these pipes include applications involving elevated temperatures and general corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance properties of grade 316 and Stainless Steel 316ti Seamless Pipe are similar. Although due to the addition of titanium in its alloy 316TI offers better weldability and exhibits excellent performance in elevated temperatures.

ASTM A312 Standard Specification covers standard specification for seamless, straight-seam welded, and cold worked welded austenitic stainless steel pipe intended for high-temperature and general corrosive service.
Several grades of steel shall conform to the required chemical composition for carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, titanium, columbium, tantalum, nitrogen, vanadium, copper, cerium, boron, aluminum, and others. All pipes shall be furnished in the heat-treated condition in accordance with the required heat treating temperature and cooling/testing requirements.
Tensile properties of the material shall conform to the prescribed tensile strength and yield strength. The steel pipe shall undergo mechanical tests such as transverse or longitudinal tension test and flattening test. Grain size determination and weld decay tests shall be performed. Each pipe shall also be subjected to the nondestructive electric test or the hydrostatic test.

ASTM A312 Pipe Manufacturing
ASTM A312 Seamless Pipe
Pipe should be made from stainless steel billet in hot rolling or cold drawn, no any welding process during manufacturing, seamless pipe has better pressure to withstand, annealing solution and pickling finishing condition, applied for high temperature and corrosion environment.

ASTM A312 Welded Pipe
No additional metal using automatic welding process for welded pipe, made from stainless steel strip or plate, both single welding and double welding for option, smail diameter and arge diameter are available, annealing pickling finish.

Heavily Cold-Worked (HCW) Pipe
Pipe shall be made by applying cold working of not less than 35 % reduction in thickness of both wall and weld to a welded pipe prior to the final anneal. No filler shall be used in making the weld. Prior to cold working, the weld shall be 100 % radiographically inspected.

Heat Treatment
All pipe shall be furnished in the heat-treated condition in accordance with the required heat treating temperature and cooling requirements, pipes shall be individually quenched in water or rapidly cooled by other means (direct quenched).

The pipe shall be free of scale and contaminating exogenous iron particles. Pickling, blasting, or surface finishing is not mandatory when pipe is bright annealed.

ASTM A312 TP316Ti Seamless Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipes,According to specification  ASTM A312, the Tensile properties of the 316ti Stainless Steel Pipe is required to adhere to the prescribed tensile and yield strength. Mechanical tests like a transverse test or a longitudinal tension test along with a flattening test is performed on the ASTM A312 TP316ti. Moreover, manufacturers subject the  ASME SA 312 TP316ti pipes to a weld decay test, while also determining its grain size. Individually the SS 316ti ERW Pipe needs to be administered tests like the non-destructive electric test or a hydrostatic one.
